Caterham Festival

Since its inception in 2008, The Caterham Festival has emerged as a beloved and widely attended series of events held across various venues and locations in Caterham. Fueled by a dedicated committee of local volunteers, the festival has evolved into a comprehensive program featuring diverse and entertaining events throughout the spring and summer months.

Termed as 'A festival for Caterham people, by Caterham people,' it stands as a vibrant celebration of all that Caterham encompasses. The festival boasts a spectrum of events catering to a wide range of interests, including the Food Festival, Caterham Carnival, Literacy Festival, Archaeological Digs, Scarecrow Festival, Afternoon Tea with live music at St Lawrence's Church, Open Gardens, Children's Picnic, the highly popular Street Party, and the now infamous 'Waller Pain' - a local bike race conquering a dauntingly steep hill.

A true testament to the spirit of the Caterham community, the Festival Committee actively welcomes new volunteers and fresh ideas, ensuring the event lineup remains dynamic and relevant, fostering the festival's continuous growth and success year after year.
