About Oxted

The Surrey town of Oxted is situated at the foot of the North Downs to the south of Croydon making it popular with commuters because of its good rail links to London Bridge, which can be reached in less than 40 minutes, and its proximity to the M25 providing easy access to Gatwick and Heathrow airports, and to the south coast.

Oxted is also a popular place for families with good primary and secondary schools, including Hazelwood independent school, and for the range of sporting and leisure activities it has to offer such as cricket, tennis, football, golf and the Tandrige Leisure Centre where there is a swimming pool.

The picturesque town is a mix of half-timbered, Victorian and 1930s buildings with an abundance of shops and restaurants as well as the boutique Everyman Cinema and popular Barn Theatre. The local Master Park is host to an array of annual community events including the pram race, beer festival and food festival which help make Oxted the stimulating and interesting place it is to live.
