About Chipstead

Chipstead offers the classic features of a country village and encompasses approximately 2,000 acres with a beautiful Norman church, village pond and green with the added benefit of some 30 local clubs and societies for all age groups ranging from sports clubs to Fine Arts. The growth of the sports clubs is a particular feature and largely benefits the younger members of the community with football, cricket, rugby, tennis, badminton and bowls keenly supported. Each year the village hosts three major events which attract visitors from near and far and include the Village Fair and Flower Festival in July, Guy Fawkes celebrations and a refreshment point for the annual London-Brighton Bike Ride. The village retains its character thanks to the efforts of the Chipstead Village Preservation Society and the Chipstead Residents Association which continue to preserve the quality of life in this Surrey village.

In all these areas the residents have worked tirelessly to preserve the character and quality of life despite their proximity to London.
